Bozeman Actors Theatre Announces New Artistic Directors

Bozeman Actors Theatre is pleased to announce the appointment of Danielle Sather and Hunter Hash as Artistic Directors for 2022. Artistic Directors’ role in BAT is to create and develop the artistic vision for the company, define how this vision fulfills our company’s mission, and carry out the mission through their leadership of the Acting Company.

Danielle Sather considers Montana foundational to her success as a theatre artist and has had the privilege of performing with a myriad of companies, both regionally and internationally, including The Montana Repertory Theatre, The Warren Miller Performing Arts Center, and The Ellen Theatre. She has been a Montana-based actor since 2015 after moving here to earn an MFA in Acting from the University of Montana. She is pleased to fill the position of co-artistic director for Bozeman Actors Theatre and looks forward to upholding BAT’s reputation for producing professional, personal, and thought-provoking theatrical works.

Hunter Hash made his debut with Bozeman Actor’s Theatre in its 2021 Pandemic Performance of Polaroid Stories by Naomi Iizuka and is excited and honored to step in as co-artistic director. He holds degrees in French and Theatre from the University of Montana. His intra- and post-collegiate credits include Paul in Barefoot in the Park with the Montana Repertory Theatre, Death in Everyman with the University of Montana, and a writer and actor with the Brewery Follies of Virginia City, Montana.

Having co-artistic directors is becoming more common in the theatre world. Theatre - as the ultimate collaboration - requires people to work together closely, trusting in each other, and thus, having co-directors only strengthens the position, and leads to a stronger artistic company. Sharing the duties, Sather and Hash look forward to collaborating together in leading BAT’s Artistic Company into the future, providing more plays, more opportunities for Bozeman area actors, and continuing to provide high-quality theatre to southwestern Montana.
