Board of Directors

Kevin Brustuen

Kevin Brustuen is dedicated to history and to the notion of storytelling, and thus is interested in the ways that theater conveys thought-provoking situations to its audience members.

Kevin has worked for several nonprofit organizations, taking him to Lithuania, Mali, Uganda, South Africa, and other countries. He has been involved in the International Council of Systems Engineers, U.S. Agency of International Development, USDA Soils Labs, and several political campaigns at local and national levels.

Chris Mehl

Chris has lived and worked in Bozeman for more than two decades, bringing with him a great enjoyment of live theater and the arts. He also served as the President of the Library Foundation during its successful campaign to raise private funds for the City’s Public Library on East Main Street.

Mehl’s work has focused on public policy and community service, most recently as Mayor and City Commissioner for Bozeman for ten years. He has served as Policy Director at Headwaters Economics and as Communications Director for the Northern Rockies Office of The Wilderness Society. Earlier, he worked in Washington, D.C. as Press Secretary for Members of Congress. Mehl enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing every known trail in Montana.

Cameron Lothspeich

Cameron’s interest in theatre was rekindled while completing an English Literature degree at Montana State University.  He enjoys analyzing what drives the human condition and how the production of theatre inspires audiences to take action to help their communities.  Cameron has worked as an intern writing production reviews and helped set stage since 2019.  He looks forward to helping BAT with their theatrical endeavors in the future and is fueled by the creative energy surrounding theatre.

Cameron’s passions include poetic writings, food creation, hiking, music, reading, and listening to people tell their stories.

Jen Wendel

Jen Wendel joined the BAT board as a director in December 2021. She grew up in Salt Lake City, raised her two kids in Portland, Oregon, and landed in Bozeman about six years ago. She is currently the Adaptive Aquatics Director at Eagle Mount. In 2019 she started a theater program to give Eagle Mount participants an opportunity to express themselves in a theater production. The new program sparked interest in adding other arts programs to the Eagle Mount curriculum and their new Arts pillar is flourishing. Jen loves engaging in the Bozeman arts community and looks forward to immersing herself even more into this vibrant, creative and collaborative theater scene.

Anna Neikirk

Anna Neikirk worked as the Production Manager for Montana Shakespeare in the Parks for over six years, before taking a new job at Foundant Technologies in Bozeman, where she continues to help non-profits. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Neikirk spent three seasons as a Stage Manager with Kentucky Shakespeare Festival.  Other Louisville work includes one season at Actors Theatre of Louisville, and various freelance work with the Louisville Ballet, Eve Theatre Company, World Fest,  and many others.

Bozeman Actors Theatre credits include Stage Manager for The Realistic Joneses and Galileo.
